GALES DESTROY 24 HOUSES IN PADANG
Padang, W Sumatra, Dec 29 (ANTARA) - At least 24 houses were seriously damaged by gales in West Sumatra's provincial capital Padang on Sunday evening but no casualties were reported.
"We have made an inventory of the damaged houses in the Pauh sub district in Padang city on Monday. We have recorded at least 24 damaged houses, including one small mosque," Head of the Disaster Handling and Fire Fighting Service of Padang city, Erdi Syaf said here on Monday.
He said that his office had dispatched tents to residents whose houses were destroyed by the gales. ***6***
