EARTHQUAKE HITS NORTH SULAWESI ON TUESDAY
Jakarta, Dec. 30 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted North Sulawesi on Tuesday at 10.20 am Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
The quake's epicenter was located at 5.37 degrees northern latitude, 125.93 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 107 below sea level, around 157 km northeast of Melongsuane (North Sulawesi) and 203 km northeast of Tahuna, also North Sulawesi, according to the national Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) here on Tuesday.
The temblor did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami.

upheaval.
