Bahrain-France business ties discussed

Manama, Sept. 22 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s Chairman Khalid Al Moayed received the Head of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Embassy of France to Kingdom of Bahrain Valerie Montane on Tuesday.
The meeting considered means of enhancing business ties between Bahrain and France and encouraging trade and partnership between both sides.
Al Moayed said: "The current trade volume between Bahrain and France amounted to 22 million US dollars up to August 2015 according to the statistics of the Central Informatics Organization of Bahrain. We believe the current trade volume is below aspirations, and a lot of business opportunities remain underutilized". He added "We are very keen on invigorating business ties with France, and as an initial step we wish to witness frequent exchange of delegations".
From her side, Montane commended the business environment in Bahrain and expressed similar keenness on stepping up business ties and increasing the exchange of business delegations so as to streamline partnership.
Al Moayed extended an invitation to business sectors in France to take part in the First Annual Global Employers’ Summit which will take place between 6th and 7th October in Bahrain under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
