Energy minister receives 16MECC executive committee chairman

Manama, Sept. 28 (BNA): Minister of Energy Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received here today the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the 16th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition (16MECC) Abdullah Al Ghamdi and Dr. Faisal Al Faqeer, accompanied by Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) Vice President Abdulla Janahi, Member of 16MECC Advisory Committee A.Majeed Al Gassab and a number of the advisory committee members. Secretary-General of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharian and General Manager of Strategies and Planning Ali Abdul Jabar Al Sawad were present. 16MECC will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Energy, on February 8th- 11th 2016 and will be organised by NACE Dhahran Saudi Arabia Section and BSE. The minister lauded the delegation’s exerted efforts to ensure the success of this biennial series of forums and exhibitions, valuing the organisers’ role since the inception of the conference in 1979. Al Ghamdi gave a presentation about the conference’s preparations, agenda, speakers and organisational and logistical matters. The delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to the minister, praising the support received from the minister and NOGA.
