Final communiqué of the 29th GCC summit issued
Muscat, December 30, SPA -- The final communiqué of the 29th summit
of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries' leaders issued here today
at the conclusion of the summit stated that the Supreme Council of
the GCC blessed the establishment of the Joint Saudi-Qatari
Coordination Council reflecting the great care of the Saudi and
Qatari leaders for boosting relations between the two countries in
all fields.
The council also commended the agreements reached by the first
meeting of the Joint Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council to boost
constructive cooperation between the two countries in economic,
commercial, industrial, political, security, military, environmental,
health, cultural and media fields.
The council valued the great efforts exerted by Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to hold the International
Conference for Dialogue among the Followers of Religions and Cultures
which was held in Madrid to promote dialogue among religions and
cultures and the noble meanings it symbolized and the kind call for
holding a conference for dialogue among the followers of religions
and cultures at the high level meeting of the General Assembly of the
United Nations which enjoyed international response, support,
interaction and consensus and aimed at highlighting the importance of
dialogue, call for respect of humanity, keenness on building bridges
of meeting among the peoples and civilizations, promotion of common
human and religious values and correction of wrong and biased
concepts attempting to undermine the Islamic values.
