Final communiqué of the 29th GCC summit issued 4 Muscat

The Supreme Council regretted the European Union's lack of response
towards the proposals of the GCC countries to conclude the free trade
agreement negotiations between the two sides resulting in the GCC
countries' suspension of those negotiations.

In the field of security coordination and cooperation, the Supreme
Council approved the GCC comprehensive security strategy and the
basic law of the GCC criminal information center for combating
narcotics which will be established in Qatar.

In the field of fighting terrorism and sea piracy, the Supreme
Council stressed the GCC firm positions renouncing all forms and
sources of terrorism.

In this framework, the Supreme Council commended Bahrain's foiling of
a terrorist plot against Bahrain, expressed support for it and called
for boosting international cooperation in the field of combating
terrorism through intensifying exchange of information, prevention of
the use of countries' soil to prepare, plan or incite terrorist
activities and cooperation in the field of extraditing individuals
who live abroad and are involved in terrorist activity.
