Final communiqué of the 29th GCC summit issued 8 Muscat

Concerning the bloody incidents taking place in Gaza, the leaders of
GCC member states decided to make urgent contacts with the permanent
member states of the Security Council in order that the international
community shoulders its responsibilities.

In its communiqué, the Supreme Council expressed deep concern and
great dissatisfaction over the Israeli blatant aggression and the
fall of a large numbers of casualties.

It strongly convicted Israel and held it responsible for pushing
events to this dangerous level due to its stubborn policies.

It called on Israel to desist from its arrogant practices against the
barehanded Palestinian people and to lift the unfair siege imposed on
all Palestinian territories including Gaza Strip.

It confirmed that the Palestinian national unity is the preventive
shield which protects the Palestinian people, calling all Palestinian
factions to unite at this critical juncture in order to restore their
legitimate rights and establish their independent state with the East
Al-Quds as its capital.

The Supreme Council attributed the current deterioration of Middle
East Peace Process to the Israeli government's attempts to challenge
the international legitimate decisions, expand settlements and
continue digging works, threatening Al-Aqsa Mosque and changing the
Arab and Islamic features in Al-Quds city.
