DEMONSTRATORS IN JAKARTA CONTINUE TO PROTEST ISRAEL
Jakarta, Dec 31 (ANTARA) - Protest rallies against Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip that have killed more than 300 people in the Palestinian territory were again staged at several areas in Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to information of Jakarta Police's Traffic Management Center (TMC), the rallies would be carried out by three groups of protesters.
It said the first group of protesters would stage a rally in front of the United States embassy on Merdeka Selatan street on Wednesday morning, and the second group would make public speeches at several locations, including Hotel Indonesia Traffic Circle, in Jakarta.
While the third group of protesters would convey their aspiration in front of the United Nations representative office on Thamrin street and continue to US embassy on Merdeka Selatan street.
Earlier on Tuesday, two groups of demonstrators in Jakarta also marched in protest against the Israeli military aggression in the Palestinian territory.
