PRESIDENTIAL GUARD STABBED BY FORMER MARINE
Jakarta, Dec. 31 (ANTARA) - A presidential security guard identified as Private II David was wounded after being stabbed by someone who claimed to be Chief Corporal Hadi Muranto, a former marine, in front of the State Palace here on Wednesday.
Muranto was immediately apprehended by other presidential security guards.
According to information, Muranto had come to the palace to see President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono personally to convey a spiritual message that he had received but he was stopped by David, the security guard.
Hadi Muranto became angry and stabbed David and wounded the guard's right hand.
Police Commissioner Helmi Santika of the Jakarta Police said police would pick up Murnato from the Presidential Security Guard Headquarters at Tanah Abang.
He said the Jakarta police considered the incident a serious case as it had happened at the State Palace compound.
