Oil minister briefed on Occidental Petroleum activities in Yemen

SANA'A, Dec. 31 (Saba) - Minister of Oil and Minerals Amir Aidrous
get Wednesday acquainted with the activities of Occidental Petroleum
Company in a number of exploratory and productive blocks in Yemen.

During his meeting with the company's director general, Oil Minister
affirmed providing the company with all facilities as well as his
ministry's commitment to joint agreements.

For his part, the company's director general confirmed that the
company looks forward to increase its investments in Yemen,
particularly in developing a gas project at the exploratory block
No. 20, praising the facilities the ministry provides.

The Occidental Petroleum Company is working in the productive block
(S1), the exploratory blocks No. 20 and 75 of Shabwa governorate.
Occidental Company partners with the Total Company in the productive
block No. 10 and with Canadian Nexen Company in the productive block
No. 14.
