PERTAMAX GASOLINE PRICE LOWERED TO RP5,800
Jakarta, Jan 1 (ANTARA) - State oil and gas firm Pertamina has lowered the price of Pertamax gasoline in Jakarta and environs from Rp6,500 to Rp5,800-Rp6,000 a liter effective January 1.
The new price of non-subsidized fuel is only applicable to gas stations bearing the words "Pasti Pas" (exact measure), the company said in a press statement on Thursday.
"The policy is aimed at giving choices to the public," Pertamina spokesman Anang Rizkani Noor said.
After all, the prices of Pertamax gasoline in several parts of Jakarta, Banten and West Java provinces on January 1 had dropped to Rp5,925 a liter from Rp6,500 a liter on December 10 last year.
The prices of Pertamax gasoline fell to Rp6,300 from Rp6,800 a liter in Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, Bengkulu, South Sumatra and Lampung provinces, to Rp7,400 from Rp7,900 a liter in Bangka Belitung province, to Rp6,200 from Rp6,600 a liter in Central and East Java provinces.
Meanwhile, the prices of Pertamax gasoline declined to Rp6,250 from Rp6,700 a liter in Bali province, to Rp6,300 from Rp6,700 a liter in Kalimantan, to Rp7,300 from Rp7,800 a liter in Sulawesi, except the Central Sulawesi provincial capital of Palu where the price of the fuel fell to Rp7,300 from Rp7,800 a liter.
The prices of Pertamax plus gasoline fell to Rp6,000 from Rp6,300 a liter in Batam, to Rp6,600 from Rp6,950 a liter in Aceh, North Sumatra and Riau, to Rp6,400 from Rp6,800 a liter in Jakarta, Banten and West Java, to Rp6,600 from Rp6,950 a liter in Central and East Java, and to Rp6,700 from Rp7,000 a liter in Kalimantan.
The price of Pertamina dex gasoline across Indonesia fell to Rp6,300 from Rp7,300 a liter.
Earlier, the company said in conjunction with its anniversary the prices of Pertamax and Pertamax plus gasoline at all its marketing units across the country were lowered by Rp300 a liter respectively.
