Mohamed bin Zayed receives US envoy for GCCISIL

ABU DHABI, 21st October, 2015 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received here yesterday General (Retd.) John Allen, Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL (GCCISIL). The meeting discussed the coalition's operations against ISIL (Daesh) and best ways to tackle the menace of this terrorist group. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed re-affirmed UAE's support to all international efforts aimed at countering terrorist groups, including Daesh which pose a threat to security and peace in the region. "Rejecting extremism and terrorism and countering criminal and disruptive acts that contradict human values, is a key for the region's peace, security and stability," he added. The meeting was attended by Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Lt.
