SEMEN BATURAJA'S CEMENT PRODUCTION UP 6 PCT LAST YEAR
Palembang, S Sumatra, Jan 2 (ANTARA) - Cement maker PT Semen Baturaja said on Friday its cement production in 2008 rose 6 percent to 1.067 million tons from a year earlier.
The increase in cement production was attributable among others to hard work, close cooperation between the management and employees, and support from the local government and people, PT Semen Baturaja spokesman Sudarman said.
He said overall sales in 2008 were recorded at 1.108 million tons.
The company had set itself the target of producing 1.2 million tons of cement this year, he said.
