Saudi Food and Drug Authority warns of eight types of shampoo

Riyadh, January 02, SPA--Saudi Food and Drug Authority warned of
using eight types of shampoo contaminated with carcinogenic Dioxane
substance.
In a statement issued here today, the Authority said it
has been proved that some types of shampoo, especially for children,
are contaminated with Dioxane substance which might cause cancer.
It said that the Authority addressed the concerned
bodies to take the necessary statutory procedures on withdrawing such
products from the market and stopping their customs clearance and
entry into the Kingdom.
