German Foreign Minister makes telephone call to Prince Saud

Berlin, January 02, SPA -- German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter
Steinmeier made a telephone call today to Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the conversation, they discussed the deteriorating situation
in Gaza Strip and efforts exerted to stop the Israeli military
attacks.

In a press release, the Spokesman of Germany Foreign Ministry said
here that the telephone call comes in the framework of the efforts of
the German government in cooperation with the European Union to cease
fire.
