Interior Minister receives SCYS secretary-general

Manama, Nov. 5 (BNA): Interior Minister, Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of Asian Football Federation (AFC), Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa. Shaikh Salman conveyed to the Interior Minister the best wishes and appreciation of the SCYS Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and all members in the sports sector for the efforts of the Interior Ministry in protecting national security. The minister expressed appreciation of the role of the council and the Bahrain Olympic Committee that are chaired by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to develop sports in Bahrain and considering youth among national priorities. He wished them all the best in achieving this great mission . The Interior Minister hailed Shaikh Salman for heading the federation and his sports achievements that could reinforce Bahrain’s regional and international position. The SCYS secretary-general hailed the support of the Interior Minister to youth and sports and efforts of the Interior Ministry in this regard. He said that the council was looking forward for more cooperation and coordination for sports development in all fields.
