ABU DHABI, 9th November, 2015 (WAM) -- Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of National Media Council, has said that the UAE is proud of its valiant armed forces. He said that the UAE's Armed Forces proved to be graduates of the nation of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, adding that the leadership is following in his steps through the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces . In a speech on the occasion of the arrival of the first batch of UAE Armed Forces back from Yemen, who were taking part in the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces participating in Operation Restoring Hope to defend the legitimate government in Yemen, Al Jaber said that the UAE leadership's participation in the reception of the soldiers showed the homeland's appreciation of the efforts of the armed forces. He pointed out that the achievements of the armed forces continued in various spheres, besides the military achievements, as efforts continue on humanitarian and development aid for a return to normal life in the liberated areas of Yemen. Dr. Al Jaber commended the coverage of the national media and its outstanding performance both with regard to the coverage of events in Yemen and the coverage of the brave soldiers' reception in the homeland. He stressed that the support of UAE's leadership for national media organisations allowed it to play its role to the fullest, and the success of cooperation among them, especially during the live broadcast, stresses the importance of integration of efforts to fully serve the homeland. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395287710581.html
