UAE commends Australia's measures to promote and protect human rights

GENEVA, 12th November, 2015 (WAM) -- Obaid Salem Al Za'abi, UAE Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has commended Australia's measures in enhancing and protecting human rights, especially Australia's commitment to multiculturalism and improving life conditions of indigenous Australians as well as combating human trafficking. In accordance to the recommendations system of the Universal Periodic Review, Al Za'abi recommended that the Australian delegation work to implement a public awareness campaign to promote tolerance and respect for cultural diversity as well as confronting prejudice, stereotypes, discrimination, racism and Islamophobia. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395287859707.html
