Bahrain-Philippines cooperation discussed

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Special Envoy of the Philippines President to the GCC countries Dr. Amable Aguiluz, and discussed with ways to bolster relations between the two friendly countries in various fields. Dr. Amable Aguiluz conveyed to HRH Premier greetings from the Philippines President Benigno Aquino III, and wishes of abundant good health to him and of further progress and prosperity to the kingdom. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the advanced level of bilateral relations, which, he said, reflected positively on the volume of joint cooperation, highlighting the existing understanding and coordination between the two friendly countries towards many regional and international issues. The Premier affirmed Bahrain's keenness to continue adopting initiatives that strengthen cooperation with the Philippines, in light of the two countries' outstanding relations and their shared desire to open up wider horizons of cooperation between them. HRH Premier said that the Kingdom of Bahrain valued highly the contributions of the Filipino community to the progress boom it is witnessing, praising the expertise and competence of the members of this community. He requested Dr. Amable Aguiluz to convey his greetings to the Philippines President, and wishes of abundant good health and happiness to him and of further progress and prosperity to the friendly Philippine people. The Philippines President's Special Envoy to the GCC countries lauded HRH Premier's keenness to consolidate relations between the two countries at all levels, highlighting his country's interest in enhancing its relations with the kingdom to meet the aspirations of the two peoples. He praised the care and interest allocated by the Government of Bahrain and officials to the Filipino expatriate community in the kingdom.
