Fourth House of Poetry opened in Tunisia as part of Ruler of Sharjah's initiative

KAIROUAN, 6th December, 2015 (WAM) -- Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department for Culture and Information, on Friday opened the House of Poetry in the Kairouan Governorate in Tunisia. Al Owais said the house is the fourth to be opened after those in Jordan, Mauritania and Egypt as part of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah's initiative for setting up poetry houses similar to that in Sharjah in all Arab countries to become a forum for senior poets and the youth in these countries and provide them with all kinds of assistance and support to be more productive. In his opening remarks, Shukri ben Hassan, Governor of Kairouan Governorate, lauded Sheikh Sultan's efforts to promote the Arab culture and thanked him for his valuable gift to poets in the historic and cultural city of Kairouan. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395288864105.html
