Yemen prepares to receive 500 injured Palestinians from Gaza

SANA'A, Jan. 05 (Saba)- The Ministry of Public Health and Population
discussed on Monday preparations for carrying out directives of
President Ali Abdullah Saleh to receive 500 Palestinians in Yemeni
hospitals who were injured in the current Israeli offensive in
Gaza Strip.

In the meeting, the Minister of Public Health and Population
Abdul-Kareem Rasa made it clear that the ministry started contact
with concerned bodies inside and Yemeni embassies in Egypt and
Jordan to prepare for receiving these cases.

The meeting discussed possibilities of enhancing capacities of the
al-Thawra Hospital, al-Jomohorry Hospital, Educational Kuwait
Hospital, al-Sabeen Hospital, 48 Hospital, Military and Police
Hospitals, Azal Hospital, Saudi-German Hospital, Yemeni-German
Hospital, Hospital of the Science and Technology, Abn Sina Hospital,
National Center for Blood Transportation, National Center for Labs
to receive these cases and offer care and treatment.

The directors of these hospitals affirmed readiness to receive these
cases.

A team was formed at the ministry to write reports over the
performance of receiving the cases.

The meeting asked the Center of Blood Transportation to start a
campaign of blood donation to response to needs of the expected
arrival cases.
