Party, State Commendations Awarded to Fishermen

Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- A ceremony of awarding party and state commendations to the participants in the 3rd Meeting of Activists of Fisheries under the Korean People's Army (KPA) took place at the conference room of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on Dec. 28. Present there was Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the KPA. Also present there were commanding officers of the KPA. Prior to the ceremony he made a speech. The remarkable successes made in the East and West Seas of Korea added patriotic passion and joy to yourself and parents who sent their beloved sons and daughters to KPA and families across the country, he said, noting that he has firm conviction that if they work in this spirit, all the units of the KPA and families of the whole country would be filled with the sea flavor of socialism in the near future and that a new history of big fish haul could be created without fail. He called upon the officials and fishermen in the fisheries under the KPA to hit the goal set by the Party Central Committee and unfailingly realize the wishes of the great leaders who worked heart and soul to provide the service personnel and civilians with plenty of fishes, deeply aware how important their posts are and how deep the party's trust and expectation are. He set the goal to be hit by the fisheries under the KPA next year and specified the tasks and ways to do so. Kim Jong Un awarded party and state commendations to the participants in the meeting.
