King to bear costs of National Guard Awards for Memorization of
Riyadh, January 06 , SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed to bear the costs of
the National Guard Awards for Memorization of the Holy Quran in its
sixth session amounting to more than SR 650,000 from his own money to
promote memorization of the Holy Quran.
In a statement to SPA, Dr. Ibrahim bin Mohammed Abu Abat the
head National Guard’s guidance body as well as general supervisor of
the competition, said, " The number of contestants participating in
the preliminary qualifying competition, which began last Saturday in
all parts of the Kingdom amounted to more than 250 competitors from
all military Sectors and departments of the National Guard in all
areas of the Kingdom".
