Inauguration of Gulf Forum 2009 "Gulf-U.S. Relations after

The following is the text of the speech:
I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the
President of the Gulf Research Center Abdulaziz bin Othman bin Saqr
and the Director of the Institute of Diplomatic Studies Ambassador
Dr. Saad Al Ammar, for their successful efforts in holding this
important forum, which comes at an appropriate time to deliberate
together the Gulf-U.S. relations under the beginning of a new era in
the U.S. administration under President-elect Barack Obama.

I am also pleased to welcome our distinguished guests including elite
and influential experts and specialists in this very important topic,
and I wish you all success and a happy new year.
