MOLDOVA TO HOLD ROTATING PRESIDENCY IN ALL CIS BODIES IN 2009
Baku, January 6, (AzerTAc). Moldova will take up chairmanship in all bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2009 for the first time in its history.
Regulations of the presidency were adopted at the CIS Bishkek Summit on October 10,
2008, press-service of the CIS Executive Committee said. During its presidency at
the Commonwealth of Independent States, Moldova intends to actively promote
development of this organization. A special commission led by Moldavian President
Vladimir Voronin was set up to preside at CIS bodies.
