Development of Reformation, Rehabilitation Centres discussed

Manama, Jan.19 (BNA): Interior Ministry Undersecretary, Major-General Khalid bin Salim Al Absi chaired the coordination meeting of the joint cooperation programme in developing operations at the reformation and rehabilitation centres with the NI-CO – Northern Ireland Co-operation Overseas, in the presence of UK diplomats from the UK embassy. At the beginning of the meeting, the Undersecretary welcomed the guests for their visit that is part of the interaction with regional and international organisations to exchange experience and views to promote cooperation and coordination. He highlighted the dedication to provide training for the manpower of those centres in cooperation with regional and international organisations to achieve proficiency and competency. After that the experts of NI-CO reviewed what was achieved of the training plan of 2015 and discussed the training programme of the current year. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Health Ministry, Education Ministry, General Secretariat of Ombudsmen and the National Institution for Human Rights, in addition to a number of officers and officials.
