Yemeni President commends Arab Coalition's role in defeating rebels

ADEN, 22nd January 2016 (WAM) --- Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi on Thursday praised the Saudi-led Arab Coalition for supporting Yemen and achieving victories against the rebel Houthi militia and forces loyal to now-ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh. He was speaking at an emergency meeting with Yemeni executive, security and military commanders of Lahej governorate. Establishing stability in Lahej and Abyan governorates is an urgency because they represent a defence line for Aden, President Hadi noted. He urged the residents of Lahej "to close ranks, use support extended by brothers (from the Arab Coalition), support the governor and work as one team in order to establish security in the governorate."
