HRH Premier receives EWA chief executive officer

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the CEO of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) Shaikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, who presented to him the Best M-Government Service Award granted to EWA for its mobile application by the Dubai Government during the World Government Summit. HRH the Prime Minister commended the efforts exerted by EWA to develop its services, in line with the government's keenness on advancing all services and enhancing the use of technology. Shaikh Nawaf stressed that EWA had received the award as a result of HRH Premier's far-sighted vision and directives to government bodies to develop all citizen-oriented services. The Best M-Government Service Award, which is the fruitful outcome of HRH Premier's efforts, aims to urge and encourage all government departments to find creative solutions to ensure round-the-clock services and meet the citizens' needs easily and transparently using smart phone applications.
