Chancellor Salim Al Kuwari receives Omani Judicial Inspection Director

Manama, Feb. 23 (BNA): President of the Supreme Judicial Council and Cassation Court Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al Kuwari received today Omani Judicial Inspection Director Dr. Yaqoob Al Saidi who is on a visit to Bahrain to get updated on the kingdom's experience in judicial inspection and discuss exchanging expertise. Chancellor Al Kuwari underscored deep-rooted brotherly relations between Bahrain and Oman, stressing the importance of exchanging experiences in judicial inspection to improve performance through international criteria. Dr. Yaqoob Al Saidi visited the Judicial Inspection Directorate and got informed about Bahrain's experience by meeting a number of inspection judges. He lauded the role of the Supreme Judicial Council in promoting justice and protecting human rights and liberties. It is to note that the Judicial Inspection Directorate organised last ween an induction meeting to the judicial branch staff to inform them about the new judicial inspection criteria which aim to identify obstacles to judicial work and monitor irregularities which harm the reputation of the judiciary. The meeting also spotlighted the best ways to improve judicial performance out of keenness of the Supreme Judicial Council on autonomy of the judiciary.
