Bahrain, Palestinian security cooperation reviewed

Manama, Feb. 23 (BNA): Public Security Chief Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan received General Director of Palestinian Police, Major-General Hazem Atallah who heads a delegation on a visit to Bahrain. The meeting that was attended by Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain, Taha Mohammed Abdulqader and senior Interior Ministry officers. The Chief welcomed the guests, hailing the brotherly ties between Bahrain and Palestine. He stressed importance of such meetings to enhance bilateral ties and exchange expertise and security services. He also hailed the directives of Interior Minister, Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to enhance police and security work in accordance to modern approach through the implementation of the modernization and development strategy that covers all security departments and sectors. The meeting focused bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and topics of common interest. Al-Hassan and the Palestinian security officials toured an exhibition that was organized on the sidelines of the visit. The exhibition showcased samples of seized weapons and explosives from 2011 to date, including weapons, ammunition, grenades and other items that terrorists use to target policemen and the public. The exhibition also displayed Molotov cocktails and iron rods. The General Director of the Palestinian Police expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Interior Ministry and the dedication of the Chief to enhance cooperation, hailing the readiness of police forces in Bahrain. He condemned all terrorist acts that aim to subvert the security and stability of Bahrain.
