Second day of late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Horseshow held

Manama, Feb. 28 (BNA): Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Honorary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), the events of the Late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Arabian Horseshow continued on Saturday at Rashid Equestrian Club on the fields of the Military Sports Federation in Al Raffa, Sakhir.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa lauded the participants for continuing their good performances on the second day of the show and contributing in the success of the annual event.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa said the continued success of the show reflects the big efforts of the organising committees and BREEF, headed HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
On his part, Dr. Khalid Ahmed, Head of the Supreme Organising Committee said the good performances shown by the participants in the show motivate the committee to save no efforts in bringing out a successful show and ensure an unforgettable experience for the participants and the audience.
Dr. Khalid Ahmed highlighted the importance of organising such events that preserve the Arabian traditions of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He thanked HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for annually directing to organise the show and patronising it.
The winners of the competitions of the second day were awarded by Dr. Khalid Ahmed, Head of the Media Committee Tawfeeq Al Salehi and other members of the organising committees.
The mare Batalat Al Abtal won the first place of the one-year-old mares competition, while mare Bandora Al Muhanna won the two-year-old mares category. Reem Al Zubair won the mares the age of 4 – 6 years and Osteemia won the mares aged 7 – 9 years contest.
The events of the competition were aired live on Bahrain Sports Channel, which also interviewed a number of the audience, owners and trainers.
