Bahraini researcher wins VIF award

Manama, Feb. 29 (BNA): Arabian Gulf University (AGU)'s Higher Studies College lecturer Maha Mahmood Al Sabbagh has won Venus International Foundation (VIF) Award themed "Outstanding Young Women Academicians. Dr. Maha was chosen as one of four Arab academicans among 900 international researchers. She will receive VIF's commemorative shield for her achievements in environmental studies next month in Chennai, India. She had also been awarded by HRH the Prime Minister the "Al Sharif Al Idrisi Award for Applied Geography" in 2006. It is worth mentioning that University of Bahrain (UoB)'s professor Wahib Al Nasser had won a similar prize last year (2015).
