AULIA POHAN, THREE FORMER BI OFFICIALS TO BE TRIED SOON
Jakarta, Jan 9 1 (ANTARA) - The cases of former Bank Indonesia (BI) deputy governor Aulia Pohan, and three other suspects in the illegal use of Indonesian Banking Development Foundation (YPPI) funds, will be subbmitted to a court soon, a law enforcement official said.
"We can confirm that Pohan's dossier is now in the hands of public prosecutors who will have 14 days' time before presenting it to the court," Johan Budi, a spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), said here on Friday.
The KPK submitted the dossiers of Pohan, the father-in-law of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's eldest son, and three other former BI officials to the public prosecutor's office on Friday after grilling them for the last time for two hours. The three others were Maman H Somantri, Aslim Radjuddin and Bunbunan Hutapea.
Amir Karyatin, one of Pohan's lawyers, said as of Friday (Jan 9, 2009), the four suspects had become detainees of the public prosecutor's office.
