Crown Prince: FDPM Fellowship supports development of exceptional young Bahraini leaders within government

Manama, Mar. 3 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received the first batch of the FDPM Fellowship at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness welcomed the outstanding achievements of the first batch of the FDPM Fellows, and emphasised the importance of continuing to develop the programme to help support exceptional young Bahraini leaders within government. His Royal Highness added that the FDPM Fellows are a clear example of the talent that exists amongst Bahrain’s youth, and the important role they play in the Kingdom’s development. In this regard, His Royal Highness praised the commitment the fellows have demonstrated throughout the programme, and noted their ability to successfully complete the programme’s challenging professional development exercises and training modules. His Royal Highness was presented with a brief regarding the last phase of the programme, including the fellow’s experiences and achievements. His Royal Highness added that the experiences they have gained would stand them in good stead both professionally and personally. His Royal Highness went on to praise the dynamic interaction between the FDPM Fellows and the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFDPM) employees, and stressed that the programme is not only beneficial to the fellows, but also to the work of the OFDPM. His Royal Highness then expressed gratitude to those who have pioneered the programme within the OFDPM, and praised their extensive efforts and personal commitment to the programme. His Royal Highness recalled the experiences of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP) since its inception 17 years ago, and the success the scholarship programme has since gone on to achieve. The FDPM Fellows expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness and His Royal Highness’s continued support. They also praised the unique experiences they have benefited from throughout the programme, and the role the programme has played in their professional development. The FDPM Fellows also emphasised their enthusiasm for taking their newly acquired skills back to their places of work and the contributions they can make to the Kingdom’s development.
