Japanese ambassador to patronise BMAA Karate Championship

Manama, Mar. 6 (BNA): Under the auspices of the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kiyoshi Asaki, Bahrain Martial Arts Association (BMAA) will organise the Kingdom of Bahrain's Karate Championship under the supervision of the High Panel for Karate on March 11-12 at Khalifa Sport City Hall under the motto #Karate_respect_trust-competition. The High Organizing Committee has opened the door for contenders' registration in the championship which will be arbitrated according to the International Karate Union's rules for budding, adolescents, youths and adult men and women weight categories. BMAA's chairman Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayatt expressed his gratitude and appreciation of Ambassador Asaki's kind patronage who consented to patronise the championship. He said the championship comes as part of the association's plans aimed to develop the martial arts under its umbrella and to brush up the skills of players to attain the level of the national team before participating in upcoming championships. He affirmed the association is proceeding on implementing its goals and this championship will reflect the level of development of this game which will be the debut of a series of similar championships to be organised by the High Organising Panel this year.
