King receives Moroccan Speaker

Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa hailed deep-rooted historic relations binding Bahrain and Morocco, commending steadily-growing cooperation in all fields. He reiterated unwavering keenness on further bolstering bilateral relations for the sake of the joint interests of the two countries and peoples. This came as he received at Al-Sakhir Palace Moroccan Parliament Speaker Rasheed Al-Talbi Al-Elmi who conveyed greetings from King Mohammed VI and his wishes of further progress and prosperity for the people of Bahrain. HM the King also extended greetings to the Moroccan leader, wishing his people further progress and prosperity. He commended legislative cooperation and exchanged expertise between the two countries, which contributes to developing democracies. HM the King commended parliamentary and democratic strides in Morocco, stressing the importance of exchanging visits, legislative and legal expertise to strengthen cooperation and coordination in regional and international conferences and arenas. He hailed the honourable stances of Morocco in support of Bahrain as well as its historical role in defending Arab and Islamic causes and contribution to strengthening regional security, stability and peace. HM the King lauded the role of the Moroccan community and its contribution to Bahrain's development in all sectors and enterprises. HM the King outlined Bahrain's legislative strides, stressing Bahrain's success in building a viable parliamentary life and a model for democratic practice on the basis of law and constitution through the bicameral system. HM the King and the Moroccan Speaker discussed regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest. The Moroccan Speaker expressed deepest thanks to HM the King, hailing keenness on further bolstering fraternal cooperation in all fields.
