Bahraini-Egyptian media cooperation discussed

08 : 11 PM - 17/03/2016 Manama, Mar 17 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi today received Egypt's Acting Information Minister, Head of Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU), also Chairman of Council of Arab Ministers of Information, Essam Al-Amir. Information Minister discussed ways to promote media cooperation and exchange of expertise, news and documentary materials, as well as activating the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two sides in the audiovisual media field. The minister highlighted the deep-rooted Bahraini-Egyptian relations, noting the progress and prosperity witnessed by Egypt in all fields. He underlined Egypt's keenness on protecting Arab security, fighting terrorism and promoting Arab and Islamic causes, as a role model of Arab solidarity. He hailed Egypt's supportive stance toward maintaining Bahrain's security and stability and the Arab identity of the Gulf. He commended the resolve of the two countries on unifying Arab ranks against terrorism and rejecting foreign interference in the internal affairs of states. Al-Amir expressed appreciation of the Information Minister's interest in developing aspects of cooperation and partnership in various areas, which enhances the historical bilateral relations, development march and joint Arab action.
