HM King deputises National Guard Commander to attend horseracing festival

Manama, March 18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputised today National Guard Commander Lt. General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa to attend His Majesty King Hamad Horseracing festival and the Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship for Arabian Horses which were organised by The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club today afternoon on the club’s track in Al-Raffah, Sakhir. The race was attended by President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, dignitaries, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps and horseracing enthisiasts. The National Guard Commander honoured the winners. He presented The High Committee Cup for trained horseriders to owner Ibrahim Al-Afou, the Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak Cup to Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, His Majesty King Hamad Cup for Arabian Horses to trainer Fawzi Nass, the Charter Cup to Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, His Majesty King Hamad Cup for locally bred horses to Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Hamad Cup for imported horses to Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa.
