Bahrain's tolerance, co-existence praised

Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): Pakistani MP Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman has affirmed that social security and stability are reflected in the freedom of exercise of religious rituals that embodies the basics of peaceful co-existence and tolerance among various segments of the society. He lauded Bahrain’s advanced official and popular efforts to foster those values called for by the Islamic Religion, noting that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Bahraini people enjoys a secure atmosphere, as well as religious and political freedoms. Speaking during a lecture held by the Isa Cultural Centre, in cooperation with the Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Religious Coexistence, Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman pointed out that Bahrain’s security and stability depend on the stability of Arabian Gulf region, amid the current regional challenges. He lauded the role of Saudi Arabia and GCC countries in defending the region’s gains, reiterating Pakistan’s supportive stances towards those efforts. He called for the need to instill the values of tolerance and co-existence in children and youth, and promote loyalty to the nation and the leadership. He expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the kingdom’s leadership and people for their awareness and success in establishing an intellectually diverse and socially secure and stable country. Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of the Isa Cultural Centre Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Religious Coexistence Chairman Yusuf Bouzabun honoured Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman in recognition of his efforts to serve common issues.
