HRH Premier receives Damistan citizens

Manama, Mar. 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has reiterated the government's keenness on implementing His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's directives to intensify the visits of officials to villages and cities to identify the local citizens' needs. Whether in villages of cities, the citizens will enjoy enough projects and government services, especially housing, HRH Premier said, directing the Housing Ministry to ensure that the local citizens receive the lion's share of the housing projects implemented in their regions to maintain the social fabric as much as possible, citing the housing projects that serve Damistan village and the neighbouring areas. HRH Premier also issued instructions to meet the needs of the Damistan village and the neighbouring regions regarding infrastructure services, affirming that government's doors are always kept open for all the citizens. HRH the Prime Minister made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today a delegation from the Damistan village, led by MP Majid Al-Majid, in line with his keenness to meet citizens from villages and cities. The citizens' needs top the government priorities, and their visions on government services, expressed in the Press or media outlets, or by their representatives in the Council of Representatives, are important and officials have been instructed to take them into consideration, HRH Premier told the audience. HRH Premier listened to their needs regarding various services. He also reviewed, in the presence of the Housing Minister and the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, the implementation progress of the housing and infrastructure projects in a number of villages, including Damistan. HRH Premier issued directives to complete the Al-Luzi and Damistan housing projects as soon as possible and hand them over to beneficiaries. He also directed to fulfill Damistan villagers' needs of infrastructure and sanitation services. The Damistan citizens lauded HRH Premier's "open-heart" policy towards all the citizens. They extended sincere thanks and utmost gratitude to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant desire to meet their needs. Members of the delegation conveyed to HRH Premier the joy of the Damistan villagers and their pride in the distribution of the ready housing units to the local citizens. They voiced pride in HRH the Prime Minister's close follow up on the services provided by the government in villages, as well as keenness to ensure those services appeal to the citizens.
