French professor visits SMC

Manama, Mar. 22 (BNA): At the directives of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister regarding availing from international medical expertise for domestication of medical treatment and training in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC)'s Neurology Department received French professor Odile T a specialist in rare hereditary disorders in children.
She examined 32 children for neurological or metabolic disorders during her three-days stay in the kingdom.
The French medical expert's visit comes in harmony with the directives of the leadership of opening new horizons for patients and to provide most advanced medical techniques locally up to highest international standards in compliance with directives of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister to the Ministry of Health (MoH) to intensify the visits programme of international medical experts to treat patients inside the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The visiting doctor met the Health Ministry's Undersecretary Dr. Ayesha Mubarak Bu Enq and SMC Laboratories chief Dr. Huda Jamsheer. The meeting discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation. The French professor expressed her readiness for cooperation on training and scientific research as well as development of SMC laboratory for hereditary diseases.
The Neurology Department at SMC has expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh, the Health Ministry's Undersecretary Dr. Ayesha Mubarak Bu Enq, the Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Affairs, Dr. Waleed Al Mannie and SMC chief physician Dr. Jassim Al Mehza and those who facilitated the visit of the French professor and ensured the successful achievement of its goals.
