Jordanian delegation visits GPIC

Manama, Mar. 23 (BNA): Chairman of the Jordanian Senate Faisal Akef Al Fayez and his delegation visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), where Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery received them along with members of the Company’s Executive Management and Labour Union Chairman. Dr. Jawahery, praising the role of the Senate, spoke of the leading role and reform process of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He applauded the close bilateral relations between the two Countries in all fields and stressed these are based on solid foundations of mutual respect and understanding, common history and a common language. These, he said, have developed and strengthened over time and are not affected by policy changes and other issues. Dr. Jawahery thanked Al Fayez for the visit and said it had given him an opportunity to take a first hand look at a model of Arab co-operation in general and GCC co-operation in particular. The visiting delegation was give a brief presentation on GPIC’s business philosophy and marketing strategy, characterised by the application of modern Management Systems that give employees equal training opportunities and push them to perform at their very best in keeping with GPIC’s commitment community service and social responsibility. The guests also listened to a detailed explanation on GPIC’s operations, production and exports as well ass its most important achievements in the field of safety and the protection of the environment. The visitors were taken to the Academy of Leadership and Learning along with the eLearning Centre. They then toured the complex where they saw the several manufacturing facilities, the environmental projects and the harmony between the industry and the environment. Al Fayez said he was delighted at the welcome and the hospitality and expressed great admiration for Dr. Jawahery and other Officials. He said he was very impressed with what he saw during the visit and said the facilities and the infrastructure was at par, and even better developed than some of the developed countries. He said GPIC was a great example for others all around the Arab world and the GCC to follow. Al Fayez said the visit was a great opportunity to take a close look at an industrial Complex that is not only impressive and of world class standards but also pays equal interest to the environment.
