Bahrain-Sri Lanka business ties spotlighted

Manama, Mar. 23 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s Bahrain Asian Traders Committee (BATC) has held its regular meeting presided over by deputy treasurer and committee head Mohammed Sajid attended by the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. A. S. U. Mendis. Commencing the meeting, Sajid commended the committee members on their efforts during their late participation in the Business and Investment Conclave 2016 held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which resulted in augmenting the interest of the Asian business community to venture the Bahraini market and create partnerships with their counterparts. The Sri Lankan ambassador lauded the committee on its efforts to reinforce business liaison between local and Asian business owners, and expressed his keenness in supporting the committee in its endeavors by streamlining communication between the committee and relevant bodies and officials in Sri Lanka. During the meeting, the committee deliberated about convening the CEO of Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) and discussed participating in future business events in Asia.
