Minister receives Russian Mufti

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa received the Grand Mufti of Russia, Russian Muftis Shura Council Chairman, Shaikh Rawi Ainuddin, and his accompanying delegation. The minister welcomed the Russian Mufti and his accompanying delegation, praising the two countries' constantly growing bilateral ties. The meeting aims to boost horizons of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Muslim Muftis Shura Council. The minister briefed the delegation about religious freedoms, cultural and interfaith dialogue initiatives launched and hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain that reflect the country's embracing throughout the generations in its ancient history all the various religions and doctrines in atmospheres of peaceful co-existence, tolerance, amity, unity, moderation, openness.
