Bahraini-Jordanian cultural cooperation hailed

Manama, Mar 24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace the Jordanian Minister of Culture, Dr. Lana Mamcg, on the sidelines of her participation, as a guest of honor, in the 17th Bahrain International Book Fair, organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. HM the King welcomed the Jordanian minister who is visiting the country in the framework of bolstering cultural cooperation,and stressed the deep-rooted fraternal relations and close cooperation in all areas, chiefly cultural and literary fields between the two kingdoms. HM the King pointed out the prestigious Jordanian cultural, literary and intellectual status, and the Jordanian writers and thinkers who have contributed to enriching the cultural movement in Jordan and the Arab World as well, and highlighted Bahrain's literary movement stemming from its ancient civilization and communication with other nations. He praised international exhibitions and cultural events that contribute to enriching the cultural and literary movement, introducing cultures of nations and promoting convergence among various countries and peoples, as well as their contribution to the dissemination of humanitarian values. The Jordanian minister hailed HM the King's keen interest in strengthening cultural cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two kingdoms. She expressed pride in Bahrain's cultural institutions and museums that reflect the cultural renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
