NPCK's 67th Birthday Observed

Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- The National Peace Committee of Korea (NPCK) held an annual general meeting at the Chollima Hall of Culture on Thursday on its 67th founding anniversary. A reporter reviewed the committee's successes and experience in 2015. The reporter underlined the need for the committee to launch bold peace activities conducive to achieving peace and reunification of the country in 2016 in compliance with its mission and goals now that the danger of a nuclear war is increasing on the Korean peninsula. Speakers referred to the issues to tighten the ties with the world progressive figures, international democratic bodies, peace-loving and solidarity bodies and arouse them to the struggle for peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in northeast Asia and the rest of the world and co-prosperity of humankind.
