Youth are the wealth of nations

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA), stressed that youth are the wealth of the communities and the basis of advancement and development of nations. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad added that countries advanced and continue to develop and urbanise by virtue of the energies of youth and their innovativeness, pointing out that investment on youth is the right path for continuity of sustainability of comprehensive development in all peoples. His Highness's remarks came during the launch of the International Youth Conference under the patronage of HM King's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs , Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the slogan "Success before 30". The event was launched at the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa's auditorium in the University of Bahrain (UoB)'s Sakhir campus, with participation of 1600 youths from 32 countries. His Highness Shaikh expressed his appreciation and pride in the Kingdom of Bahrain's achievements and the quantum transformations led by His Majesty the King in the interest of youth movement, adding that His Majesty called to caring for Bahraini youth and considered youth an important component of the single Bahraini community and one of the basic pillars for continuous building and renaissance of our beloved Bahrain. HH Shaikh Khalid lauded the role undertaken by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in translating the visions and directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the principal supporter of Bahrain youth development, through plans and programmes laid by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa aimed to uplift the capabilities and potentials of youth to achieve their goals and aspirations to contribute in their inclusion in the community and their participation in the sustainable development process in the various sectors of the State. HH Shaikh Khalid praised the inaugural speech delivered by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and its content of messages aimed to imbue youth with willpower, resolve to create success and to proceed ahead in putting more efforts and showcasing their energies and capabilities to attain success before they reach thirty. HH Shaikh Khalid welcomed the conference participants and speakers, explaining that the conference includes several themes which will enable youth to avail from them th rough dialogue and workshops, develop youth expertise and capabilities and participation to reinvigorate the bonds of amity, friendship and understanding to achieve the aspirations and goals before thirty. HH Shaikh Khalid thanked Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder for the efforts exerted by the ministry in organizing constructive functions and conferences that boost youth efficacy and capabilities and encourage their participation in various events and activities, wishing the conference participants all success.
