Personal Representative of His Majesty King visits ARC-WH

Manama, March 28 (BNA): Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa paid a visit to the Regional Arab Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) where he was welcomed by President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and ARC-WH board Chairperson Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, SCE Chief Executive Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dainah, ARC-WH Director Dr. Mounir Bouchnaqi and officials.
Shaikh Abdullah toured the centre and got informed about its facilities. He also listened to a briefing on the centre's role in preserving the Bahraini and Arab heritage. He praised the centre's contributions to preserving the human and natural heritage in the Arab countries, stressing that such projects are part of the kingdom's comprehensive development spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He underlined the need to further boost cooperation between SCE and ARC-WH to achieve common goals. He thanked Shaikha Mai as well as the centre's Director and staff for their pivotal role in protecting the Arab Human and natural heritage, wishing them every success.
On her part, Shaikha Mai paid tribute to Bahrain leadership for the care given to human heritage, stressing that ARC-WH is the dividend of the royal support and wise vision to consolidate Bahrain's standing on the regional and international map. She thanked Shaikh Abdullah for the visit, lauding cooperation between SCE and ARC-WH.
At the end of the visit, Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa was presented with a commemorative gift.
