Interior Minister receives AFC President

Manama, Mar. 29 (BNA): Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa received Supreme Council for Youth Sports (SCYS) Secretary-General and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa . The minister commended the role of council in promoting sports and the youth in Bahrain. He praised the chairmanship of Shaikh Salman and his achievements which, he said, would reinforce Bahrain’s position regionally and internationally. He commended his remarkable results during FIFA election wishing him all the best towards more achievements in the Asian and international football. The AFC President praised the minister for supporting the youth and the sports sector. He looked forward to further cooperation and coordination to promote sports activities.
