Education minister to patronise major academic seminar

Manama, Mar. 30 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi will patronise the Innovation, Social Transformations International Forum hosted at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) in the Princess Johara Al Ebrahim Centre. The forum's Guest of Honour will be Professor HRH Prince Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed Al Saud president of King Abdullah Science and Technology City, with participation of leading Arab and international intellectuals, academicians. The seminar will be held on April 4 at the initiative of AGU president Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Ohali. The conferees will discuss the role of universities and research institutions in transforming creative ideas into substantial reality and achievement of sustainable development of the Arabian Gulf community. The inaugural worksheets at the conference will be presented by Professor of Science, Technology & Innovation at George Washington University (GWU)'s Business College, William E. Halal who will also present a paper themed " Visualisations, Strategies in a changing world: shedding light on futuristic predictions of the impact of technology and innovation on communities". University of Bahrain (UoB)'s president Dr. Riyadh Hamza will present a working paper themed "Organisation and Governance of Innovation at the National Level". The conference will also include numerous working papers and interventions to be presented by leading think tanks, academicians and leading figures at the national, regional and international level.
